Eye Fixation and Heart Rate Variability Predict Performance in Process Plant Monitoring

Physiological sensors have been increasingly been used to understand the states of operators in process control of industrial plants. We examined eye-gaze metrics and heart rate variability (HRV) during a power plant monitoring simulation task, and found that eye fixation count and HRV jointly predict task performance.
