Abstract
The novel coronavirus global pandemic has resulted in increases in anxiety and depressive symptoms across populations. The current study examined pre-to-post pandemic changes in rumination as a mechanism contributing to prospective increases in mother and youth internalizing symptoms during the pandemic. Pre-to-post pandemic increases in rumination significantly predicted increased symptoms.
