Abstract
Focus groups with school police officers (SPOs) were conducted to examine the nature of their interactions with their constituents. Results revealed that, in addition to coercive power (e.g., arrest), SPOs used a range of influence strategies when interacting with constituents. How SPOs exercised these strategies aligned with procedural justice elements.
