Politicized Perceptions of Prejudice: Symmetric or Asymmetric in-Group Favoritism?

We propose an experimental test of whether politically partisan respondents judge prejudiced statements made by in-group versus out-group members differently. One possibility is in-group favoritism by Democrats and Republicans alike; another is in-group favoritism primarily by Republicans, because Democrats are more concerned with racial equality.
