Abstract

Caregiving for a family member with dementia is associated with greatly increased burden and anxiety. Sensor-based in-home technologies can alert caregivers to wandering and other potentially dangerous situations. A nine-month randomized control trial (N=64) evaluating the People Power Caregiver system revealed declines in caregiver anxiety compared to the control condition.
