Abstract

We examined the impact of executive functions on the trajectory of rumination among a large-scale sample of middle-aged and older adults across eight days, using structural equation and latent growth curve analysis. Higher executive functioning predicted lower levels of baseline rumination and faster rates of declines in rumination over time.
