Mental Fixation in the Remote Associates Test As a Function of ADHD Symptomatology

Abstract
Mental fixation can negatively impact a person’s ability to solve problems. We examined whether individual differences in ADHD symptomatology correlate with performance on the Remote Associates Test, and the extent to which such a correlation depends on whether participants are exposed to incorrect solutions prior to problem-solving.
