Abstract
In this study, mindfulness interacted with pandemic-related stress such that at higher levels of mindfulness, positive associations between pandemic-related stress and maternal internalizing difficulties were observed. Mindfulness may be contraindicated, and other emotion regulatory strategies (e.g., distraction) may be better for mitigating risk, in the context of ongoing, significant stressors.
