Abstract
We found that preadolescents’ recall for one maternal emotion relates to greater recall of other emotions regardless of valence, following an experimental task (N=112; M age=11.69). Preadolescents’ greater recall of maternal negative emotions related to preadolescents’ greater depressive symptoms. Results suggest the importance of addressing recall of emotions in preadolescence.
