Abstract
Response processes evidence of validity for the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale was explored among individuals with traumatic brain injuries. New interpretive guidelines suggested the anxiety subscale showed adequate validity evidence, whereas the depression subscale showed poor validity evidence. Five items were flagged for revision due to validity concerns.
