Abstract

In a study of Florida Department of Health workers (n=681) who responded to multiple hurricanes in 2005, those who had less social support and more presenteeism pre-disaster, and more severe personal injury/damage and higher initial emotional response during the hurricanes, had increased likelihood of longer recovery time after the hurricanes.
