Emotion Malleability Beliefs and Coping with the Transition to College

Abstract
First-year college students who held more malleable views of emotion at the start of college reported lower levels of depression, stress, and rumination, and higher levels of cognitive reappraisal during the fall semester compared to students with more fixed views of emotion.
