Abstract

The present study examined the relationship between nonmedical prescription opioid use with comorbid anxiety and depressive disorders in the NESARC-III dataset. Individuals with nonmedical prescription opioid use were more likely to have a comorbid anxiety and/or depressive disorder than individuals with no history of nonmedical prescription opioid use.
