English for Unskilled Students: Gather Them Together Rather Than Mix Them up

Abstract
This study examined variations in learning effects when university students with a low proficiency level were assigned to English classes with other students with differing proficiency levels. The experience revealed that low-proficiency students should be assigned to a class with limited variability when using the proficiency-based approach.
