Anxiety Is Associated with Suicidal Ideation in Dementia Caregivers

Abstract
Caring for loved ones with dementia is associated with heightened risk of suicidal ideation. Few studies examine factors associated with suicidal ideation in dementia caregivers. The present study suggests that caregiver anxiety is a robust predictor of suicidal ideation, even after accounting for the effects of caregiver depression and burden.
