The Role of Adversity, Gratitude, and Community Relations As Predictors of Prosociality during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Emerging research suggests a positive association between experiences of adversity and engagement in prosocial behaviors. The current study aimed to investigate if adversity experienced by individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic led to increased prosocial behaviors via improvements in relationships with the community that is fostered through feelings of gratitude.
