Abstract
We used directed responses, diligence, response-time, number of valid, and inconsistent responses to identify Insufficient effort responders (IERs) among our data from an online survey on procrastination in the US and China. The IERs had lower GPA, similar procrastination scores but poorer alpha, and self-identified less as procrastinators than non-IERs.
