The Impact of Gender Pronouns and Voice Pitch on Hiring Decisions

Two studies investigated the interaction between gender pronouns and voice pitch on evaluations of job candidates. In the first experiment, different gendered-pronouns were provided for a job candidate. In the second experiment, both the pitch and gender pronouns were manipulated. There were significant interactions between perceived gender and pitch.
