The Protective Role of Mindfulness during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract
Survey data were collected from 398 students between 14 and 25 years. Most reported COVID-19 had a moderate to severe negative impact. Females and lower-SES students reported greater distress. Primary concerns: family getting sick, missing important events and career-related opportunities, mental health. Mindfulness was associated with psychological and academic resilience.
