Contributions of Decoding, Vocabulary, and Reading Motivation to Reading Comprehension in Chinese

Abstract
Many studies supported the significant contributions of decoding and vocabulary to reading comprehension among beginner readers; however, reading motivation is rarely considered in this line of work. The present study was among the first to extend existing research by the inclusion of reading motivation among Chinese young children.
