Relationships and Rejection: The Effects of Gender and Borderline Personality Disorder

This study examined rejection in a simulated online dating/friendship platform. As hypothesized, borderline traits predicted greater anticipation of rejection, greater sensitivity to rejection, more negative mood after receiving negative feedback, and more negative feelings in association with perceived rejection by a male as compared to rejection by a female.
