Abstract
Careless responding, whereby participants do not follow instructions or thoroughly interpret items, can threaten survey validity. This study tested the effectiveness of a token-based gamified version of a Big Five personality measure to reduce careless responding. Results showed mixed support for the gamified survey, suggesting further research is needed.
