Abstract

Radix ginseng is an herbal supplement purported to have cognitive enhancing properties. The current study employed the Morris Water Maze to assess spatial learning and memory, as well as anxiolytic effects, afforded by this compound in rats. It did not enhance learning and memory, but did have an anxiolytic effect.
