Abstract
The present study will determine how varying the strength of prediction error (PE) influences reconsolidation, measured with explicit and implicit memory tests. Based on the Nonmonotonic Plasticity Hypothesis, it is expected that strong PE will trigger a reconsolidation process that strengthens memory, whereas weak PE will have no effect.
