Abstract
Limited research has examined sex differences in social anxiety disorder. This study examined sex differences in a clinical sample. Compared to women, men reported greater disruption in their work life and day-to-day functioning and were more likely to seek treatment due to encouragement from others. Implications for treatment are discussed.
