What’s Happening Right Now, Google?: Children’s Informant Evaluations When the Timeliness of Information Varies

Abstract

Children ages 7-10 (n = 60) indicated whether a human source or a Google search could answer questions involving events in the past, present, or future. Children endorsed Google more frequently than a human, and they were least likely to endorse either informant when the information pertained to future events.
