Abstract

The present study reports that young bilinguals’ haptic word processing speed (HPS) does not predict later vocabulary but is associated with concurrent vocabulary. Faster HPS in the non-dominant language is associated with greater inhibitory control. Finally, we report inter-language consistency in HPS in these very young bilinguals.
