Life in Color: Scarcity and Empathy Encourage the Savoring of Visual Imagery

In an online experiment, we examined whether witnessing someone else’s experience of scarcity would impact participants' own ability to savor a relevant experience. Findings reveal that those who saw someone else see color for the first time showed enhanced mood and savoring of colorful photographs.
