The Association between Early Life Trauma and Veteran Reintegration to Civilian Life

This study examined the relationship between early life trauma and veteran reintegration difficulties. Results revealed that occurrence of emotional, sexual, and physical abuse, and physical neglect were associated with reintegration difficulties. These relationships were moderated by enlistment motivation to escape early life trauma.
