Abstract

Students received a narrated slideshow on lightning formation with a computer-generated voice that displayed happy, content, angry, or sad emotion. The emotion of the voice did not consistently affect ratings of instructor emotion, ratings of the learner's felt emotion, or learning outcome posttest scores. Theoretical implications are discussed.
