Abstract
This research tests the effect of skin-tone and afrocentric stereotypicality (AFCS) on culpability attributions among Black survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) using an experimental between-subjects design. We hypothesize that darker-skinned women with higher levels of AFCS will be rated as more culpable in IPV situations compared to lighter-skinned women.
