Abstract

This research examines pre-trial publicity's (PTP) effect on jury deliberation duration. PTP can create pre-mature perceptions ahead of trial, leading to source-memory errors and prejudicial information being used during decision-making processes. This study will expose participants to 3 PTP conditions to examine duration length, memory errors, and guilt ratings.
