Abstract
We explore bystanders’ perceptions of police-civilian nonviolent conflict through varying the race of individuals in a vignette. Participants rated conflicts involving Black police-officers as more the civilian’s fault, compared to when the police-officer was White or unmentioned race. We are still continuing to collect data to assess our conclusions’ reliability.
