Abstract
Despite cognitive losses, healthy older adults report greater emotional regulation than younger people, but the mechanisms supporting this process remain unclear. In this study, we will explore how autobiographical recall for resilience narratives, a process preserved with age, may increase efficacy and reduce cognitive costs of emotion regulation in late-life.
