Abstract
Climate change continues as a topic of partisan dispute in the United States, with the underlying reasons driving political differences still not well understood. This research studies individuals' fixed mindset about the natural world— a potential mediator that explains why political conservatism predicts less perceived instrumentality in climate change actions.
