Abstract
The present study will examine whether a hypothetical job applicant’s racial identity (i.e., Black, White) and/or criminal offense history (i.e., sexual, non-sexual, no history) impact hiring decisions and related employment outcomes. Highlighting some of the obstacles to securing employment post-release will inform solutions to improving hireability and readjustment to society.
