Abstract
Negative parenting styles and parental psychopathology can reduce parental efficacy in maintaining healthy sleep for children. In a large community sample of preschoolers, children’s sleep difficulties were associated with mothers’ and fathers’ permissive parenting and mothers’ authoritarian parenting, and mothers’ and fathers’ history of mood and mothers’ anxiety disorders.
