Abstract
We examined which strategies people use more often when providing Extrinsic Emotion Regulation and what can account for strategy choice. We observed a positive correlation between similarity to others and motivation to help. Furthermore, similarity to others and motivation to help were positively correlated with providing reappraisal and acceptance support.
