Abstract
Differences in perceptions and feelings of distinctiveness for students of color, Caucasian and biracial students at a predominantly white institution were examined. Students of color (SOC) reported greater feelings of distinctiveness, assessed as racial awareness, accountability, and frequency of solo status than Caucasian and biracial students.
