Parental Reports of Parenting Behavior Are Differentially Related to Boys’ and Girls’ Adjustment

There is a paucity of research examining the parent-student relationship from a parent perspective. We analyzed mothers’ and fathers' perceptions of parenting behaviors and student adjustment by gender dyad. Our findings mirror previous research using traditional student report measures. Nuanced differences in student outcomes were identified based on gender dyad.
