Racial Microaggressions, Poor Coping Mechanism and Mental Health: A Mediation Analysis

Abstract
A mediation study of 647 PoC Adults in the US showed that racial microaggressions was a significant predictor for poor mental health symptoms. Both internalization & detachment coping mechanism were partial mediators that helped explain this effect. The mediating effect was tested using a PROCESS macro MODEL-6 with 5,000 bootstrap.
