Abstract
How could climate change impact voting behavior? Prior research suggests ecological stressors might increase support of right-wing groups. Our analysis of local weather emergencies and congressional voting in 2664 US House elections between 1984 and 2018 revealed a significant and positive relationship between frequency of weather emergencies and right-wing voting.
