Abstract

We investigated how 4- to 5-year-olds, 6- to 7-year-olds, and adults attribute moral judgments to God and humans. Even younger children took information about mental states into account, judging intentional harms more severely than accidental harms. The propensity to distinguish God’s mind from humans’, however, increased with age.
