Abstract
This research investigated how maternal, paternal, and peer relationships predicted adolescent behavioral problems. Participants were 709 adolescents from the Longitudinal Studies of Child Abuse and Neglect (LONGSCAN). All social relationships predicted behavioral problems, with mother-adolescent relationship more important for externalizing problems and father-adolescent relationship more important for internalizing problems.
