Abstract
Emotion differentiation is positively associated with psychological health. However, less is known regarding whether it may be enhanced. Utilizing an experimental design and experience-sampling, we found that initial exposure to experimenter-generated emotion labels led to increased specificity of naturalistic emotion language use and decreased negative affect across 14 days.
