Abstract

This study explored the five facets of mindfulness as a mediator in the relationship between Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and depression. Analyses indicated that the awareness, describing, and non-judgement facets of mindfulness were significant mediators, suggesting that decreased mindfulness may be a mechanism by which ACEs result in depression.
