Abstract

Personality traits contribute to affective disorders, but it is unclear which lower-order personality facets associate with affective disorders. A systematic review revealed that only a small number of personality facets were associated with affective disorders. These facets provide possible endophenotypes explaining affective disorders; future treatments may target these personality facets.
