Perceptions of Job Applicants with Mental Illness and Accommodations

Abstract
This study explores the effects of disabilities, specifically mental illness, during the hiring process. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of mental illness disclosure and to investigate whether requesting disability accommodations negatively impacts perceptions of a job applicant’s hireablity and competence.
