Why I’m in 101: Understanding What Students Expect to Learn from Introductory Psychology

Abstract
Because psychology is popular, faculty may not use students’ interests to encourage enrollment, assuming their interests are the same as students’ despite faculty/student inter-generational differences. We surveyed student interest on various topics outlined in the APA Introductory Psychology Initiative and discovered which skills and topics most attracted students to enroll.
