Abstract

I aim to examine associations between the influence of non-therapeutic alternatives and resistance to help-seeking for depression. Exploring whether exposure to alternatives facilitates resistance to help-seeking messages among people with depression, insights gained from this research will inform basic research on persuasion and the impact alternatives have on treatment seeking.
